Forever Young BBL™

Also called a photofacial, Forever Young BBL delivers a range of light wavelengths below the skin’s surface, heating the deeper tissue layers to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes without damaging the skin’s surface. The broad spectrum of light energy also targets blood vessels and excess pigmentation, destroying them and leaving the skin clear and evenly pigmented. Forever Young’s advanced technology, special wavelength filters, and finesse adaptors make it more powerful than intense pulsed light (IPL).

Research conducted by Stanford University School of Medicine showed that BBL treatments actually changed the expression of genes associated with the aging process to more closely resemble youthful skin.

One of the advantages of Forever Young BBL is its versatility. Our Medical Providers at Exclusive Med Aesthetics use the procedure to address both medical skin conditions and cosmetic concerns on the face, neck, hands, décolletage, and other exposed areas. We use Forever Young BBL to treat:

  • Dark spots and age spots

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Small blood vessels

  • Sagging skin

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Rosacea and redness

  • Acne scarring

Our providers customize your Forever Young treatment based on your concerns and a thorough skin examination. The procedure produces dramatic results, even though the treatment itself causes only minimal discomfort and requires little to no downtime. If the treatment area is particularly sensitive, a topical anesthetic may be applied.

Your provider fits you with protective goggles before beginning the treatment. During the procedure, you can expect to feel pulses of a warm sensation as the targeted areas begin absorbing the light energy. Depending on the size of the targeted area, treatments can take between a few minutes to a half-hour. You can return to work or most other daily activities immediately after your treatment.

Even though no downtime is needed after a Forever Young BBL treatment, you may experience some redness that typically lasts only a few hours. Other side effects may include darkening of the treated area for patients with pigmented lesions.

You’ll begin seeing results after your first treatment, but the final results depend on the specific condition being addressed and the number of treatment sessions planned. Periodic treatments to maintain the results are also sometimes necessary. It’s important to follow post-treatment care instructions closely, especially avoiding sun exposure and applying broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
